Sturdevant Gallery of Osage Beach is planning an emerging artist show and competition this spring which will focus on Missouri college/university student artists. Accepted art work will be exhibited from June 27 through July 25, 2009 with a reception and award night on June 27 (Saturday).

Artists may elect to make their work available for sale. The gallery will retain its standard commission but donate 50% of it to the art department with which the artist is associated.

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to email photographs of two and three dimensional work they would like to include in the show to craigsturdevant@mchsi.com by May 23. Professional artists will review and evaluate the art work photographs. Accepted artists will be contacted by June 1 and asked to mail or deliver their work to Sturdevant Galley on or before June 26.

Central Trust and Investment Company along with Sturdevant Gallery are making $1,000 available for the competition with first ($500), second ($300), and third ($200) awards.

We are looking forward to presenting an exceptional collection of art work to the public.
