Playing the violin is more than just a hobby--it's a challenge that relieves stress. Learning to play one of the most beautiful instruments in the world will surely give you great joy. So, what are you waiting for?!

The class is $120 for a total of 8 weeks. We will learn the proper ways to handle the instrument and will play several songs. We set short term goals and try to accomplish them in that time frame. You can also choose to sign up for the beginning two class or intermediate one class next year in January. I also teach private lessons if you do not like the group setting, although, I do think associating with other adults embarking on this wonderful journey will be encouraging to you.

I just moved to Columbia a week ago and what i would like to do here is put together an original band that will go somewhere major! As much fun as the cover band was, it can only go so far. Every one else in the band besides me was over 40 and unfortunately wouldn't go anywhere in this extremely image conscious music industry, no matter how good any originals we wrote would have been. I just became tired of people coming up to me after the show and asking me what i was doing playing covers in a bar band, and telling me they expect to see me on tv some day...and drunk guys telling my girlfriend that they would soooo do me i they were chicks...and one saying he might even if he's not a chick....haha good times! Something new needs to happen!!!

I want to try and start a new kind of music based off of an old school Jimi Hendrix, live Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan feel, but with a little more of an edge like Buck Cherry or Jet. Guitar Hero and Rock Band have finally started to make the young generation care more about talented musicians and watching them perform then they have in a long time. I would like to have a very jam band/improv feel to most things live where every band member will have plenty of opportunities to showcase their talent! Songs maybe 4-5min in the studio but who says they cant be 10-15 live!!!

I am very diverse in my playing abilities and influences and would like band mates to be that way also. Thinking of just being 3-piece, 4 if a singer is added. Would like a very solid and confident bass player who can think on his feet and also like to come up with original stuff...i have all sorts of lyrics that are waiting to be collaborated on and put to music :) Drummer must also be very solid...this doesn't mean boring hi hiat, kick, snare...you can do a fill the whole damn song as long as it's tasteful and spot-on. I love double-kick, but more for an accent at certain times and not for constant death metal thumping throughout the whole song. Also drummer must love cymbal mutes as much as i do ;)

There are also a couple videos of me playing a couple acoustic songs that i would love to turn into electric with the full band. We're looking for a drummer (who can play live to a click), a bassist, a piano player, and possibly another guitarist for some seriously good times. We just broke into TV and Film with our music, and they already want more songs. We've got the songs, but not the band mates!
