1. I need musicians and vocalists willing to lead worship music on Sunday mornings. The style of music is known as “Modern Worship”. This is a style of worship music that is very guitar-driven with a modern rock feel (examples can be found on the individual websites of these artists: Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Sonicflood). This isn't your parents' church. This music breaks the stereotype of what “church music” sounds like.
The following positions need to be filled:
--Acoustic/electric guitar (1 open position)
--Bass (2 open positions)
--Drums (2 open positions)
--Keyboard (2 open positions)
--Vocalists (several open positions)

2. I need musicians and vocalists who are willing to participate in the premier outreach band of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The primary focus for this group is to reach out to our community and beyond to share the gospel of Christ and to invite people to OSLC. This band will be composed of veteran musicians with the knowledge and skill to perform the latest in modern rock music. The following positions need to be filled:

Ok, so here’s the deal. I’m looking to book some gigs/ blues workshops across the country this summer. I’m trying to locate some folks that love the Blues; might be able to turn me on to some clubs that would be into booking an out of town act, and would be willing to spread the word so that folks will show and it’ll be a good time for all involved.
I will be traveling alone, the event can be billed as Harry”O” where I will do a solo gig and later have local musicians sit in on a few songs. Or it can be billed as Oysters Rockefeller. In some cases I might need a couple of local musicians to back me up. It can be any local blues band willing to open for me (45 min set) and then serve as my back up band. Then again there can be a set where some guys can jam with us.
I’m looking to charge $200/ night for myself. If that sounds like a lot, I’ll be on the road; covering meals and staying in motels all summer can get expensive, yes? (If something extra can be charged to pay the local musicians, great!)
Sounds like a lot of work? Well, yeah it could be, but it could also be a lot of fun to help put an event together.

well, I also play "mallets"...vibraphone and malletKAT (that's a synth played with mallets...it works great for STEEL DRUMS, MARIMBA, asst PERC, organ, piano, any and all keyboard sounds...you name it).

I also play guitar (lead and rhythm), ac/elec mandolin, MONDO (octave elec mandolin) lap steel, and dobro.

no, i do not sing...people pay me NOT to sing!

As for the style of music/player we are looking for- We have a very unique, but amazing sound in store for anyone who is open to uniqueness. It's hard to describe the "sound", so I'll give you a hint of what instrumentation/gear we have: An upright piano, a Casio Privia electric piano, a MicroKorg synthesizer, a marimba, drumset, ukulele, Baldwin organ, and hopefully some more great stuff to come, and then we use our effects to give things a bit of texture. So as far as what we're looking for from a guitarist: Someone who can provide a mellow drive, not crazy rhythm guitar, but be able to play the guitar in a relaxed fashion while still keeping some sort of pulse. We'd also like a guitarist to be able to play/tweak their sound, add texture (echo, delay, phaser, etc.). Being able to play minor chords is something you'll need to be able to do quite a bit.

Overall this seems very detailed, but we do like to have fun, so I don't mean this to seem daunting. The most important parts of this would be: Be able to play the guitar pretty well, know your notes, have an open mind, and be dedicated, and we'll get along pretty swell. =D
