I've had this in my garage for about 8 months and haven't been able to set it up. Lathe has been covered with LPS3 (like cosmoline but better and cleaner) so there is no corrosion or rusting. Will need a light cleaning and be bolted to your table.

I have an older SteelCase desk that is as solid as a tank, that would be suitable for the purpose.

I have for sale a Mr. Heater brand propane heater. It is in almost-new condition. It comes with everything you see in the picture--heater, FULL tank of propane, and instruction manual. It is a two burner type, but you can choose to use both burners or only one. It has automatic propane shut-off for each burner (it shuts off the propane to that burner if it is blown out). It is rated at a maximum of 28,000 btu but you can adjust it, while in use, to anywhere from 8,000-28,000 btu. It was used by me a couple times to keep warm in a detached garage. It would be great for that or for outdoor car or equipment repairs. It was used last year to camp outside the day after Thanksgiving. It will not make your garage smell like kerosene heaters do.

Decided to sell my 9" South Bend Lathe, possibly to get something bigger in the future.

If you are reading this you are probably familiar with this icon of Americana. Great way to spend a weekend by yourself or with your kids doing something fun and productive (and away from the wife!).

Made in 1949 (or thereabouts) this 9" model C features a quick change gear box.

The original paint is still there and so are most of the scrapping marks.

For being almost half a century old, it has had very little use.

The original motor went kaput and was replaced by a DC motor. A DC motor controller is included. This lets you have a variable speed lathe with 100% torque at all settings. Controller new is over $300 at Grainger.

Lathe comes well tooled as well.

Faceplate
Live Center
Jacobs Drill Chuck (with key!)
Steady Rest
Follow Rest
BXA ToolPost and holder (I believe its Aloris, but the tag fell off and its not stamped with any markings)

I've had this in my garage for about 8 months and haven't been able to set it up. Lathe has been covered with LPS3 (like cosmoline but better and cleaner) so there is no corrosion or rusting. Will need a light cleaning and be bolted to your table.

I have an older SteelCase desk that is as solid as a tank, that would be suitable for the purpose, I can include it for an additional $50.
