First, thank you to everyone who helped with food, money, and volunteering for "Everybody Eats" last month for Thanksgiving. Your generosity is appreciated!

If anyone can help one more time this year, Almeta's struggling to help a few families who aren't being reached by other agencies. These are frequently working folks who lost hours or jobs after the deadlines for aid applications passed. FOr families with school-aged kids, school is out, and so is access to free/reduced price meals and Buddy Packs.

Food donations needed for a few Christmas bundles: chicken, turkey, ham; potatoes, rice, mac & cheese mix; canned fruit and vegetables; juice (plastic or metal containers); cake mix.

Almeta will be handing out what she's got at Nephew's sometime on Saturday. To make a donation and check on what time she'll be there, please call her at 529-2151 or 874-0284. I won't be picking up e-mails tomorrow morning, so please call her directly.

Thank you... Happy holidays!!

Almeta is trying to help a number of families who are not receiving assistance from other agencies for the holidays. This happens frequently when workers lose their jobs after agency application deadlines have closed.
If you would like to help, Almeta would welcome turkeys, chickens, and ham; potatoes; canned fruit; mac and cheese mix; rice, and other dinner fixings. She also collects and distributes children's gifts, again for families who aren't being reached by other groups. There is a greater need for gifts that a pre-teen or teen might like, as most people usually donate toys for younger kids.
If you can help, please call Almeta at 874-0284 or 529-2151 (weekdays after 2 pm, weekends after 11:30 am).
