Tannoy iw6-TDC, set of 3
In-wall design, tweeter within a 6" driver. A super tweeter is mounted separately. TDC stands for Tannoy Dual Concentric. This is their proprietary design, which they claim reduces interference around the crossover point and provides superior off-axis frequency response.
Tannoy CMS 401DCe, pair
Ceiling mounted, tweeter within a 4" driver. The same design as the in-walls; voice matched. Adjustable tilt angle. Compatible with 70V and 100V line systems, or 6 Ohm direct input. Mounting C-rings and ceiling tile rails included.
Purchased new from a local hi-fi audio shop and installed in 2011 as part of a 5.1 system with projector. Paid $2100 total after tax. Each wall speaker is discretely marked with an L, C, or R to indicate which channel they were installed in, allowing you to separate the less used center channel from the main channels. I played mostly stereo content, with occasional movies. These speakers were removed and packed away in all the original packaging, when I sold the home in 2018. I took excellent care of these speakers and they show it. They were never painted. They look and sound great. The build quality is impressive for an in-wall/ceiling speaker. These would be great in a projector setup, mounted behind an acoustically transparent screen, or with a wall-mounted flatscreen. It creates a flush look on the front wall and saves space in smaller rooms.
I prefer to sell as a set, but would consider selling the wall speakers separately from the ceiling speakers.
